Documentation Tables

Tables

Somewhere to keep what your conversations learn, and what you want them to know. A table holds rows of named values: a flow can find one, list several, write one or remove one, and you can maintain them yourself, without running a database of your own.

What tables are for

Recognising someone

Look someone up when a conversation starts and greet them by name instead of asking everything again.

Keeping what you collect

Save the answers a conversation gathers so they are still there tomorrow, and read or correct them from the Tables screen whenever you like.

Answering from a list

Keep a menu, a price list or your opening hours in a table, maintain it yourself, and let a flow read it out.

Honouring a request

Remove someone's row when they ask to be forgotten, cancel a booking, or release a slot they were holding.

Tables live under Tables in the dashboard, where you can add columns, and browse, add and edit rows by hand. Start with the overview.
