Transfer conversation to a human agent

Overview

The Agent Handoff node transfers control of the conversation from the bot to a human agent.

How It Works

  1. Display Message: Shows your configured handoff message to the user (e.g., "Transferring you to a human agent...")
  2. Execute Handoff: The conversation is transferred according to your deployment's handoff configuration
  3. Bot Pauses: All user messages are ignored until a human agent marks the conversation as available again (e.g., by removing the ucb-handoff label in Intercom)
  4. Resume Flow: When the human agent returns control, new messages can optionally continue through the output handle

Handoff behavior (team assignment, inbox routing, etc.) is configured at the deployment level.
